| Other's claims to have first discovered Angel Falls remained mute until after Angel's waterfall discovery. Some claims did not surface until after the waterfall was measured in 1949 and determined to be the world's highest. These claims varied from ridiculous to absurd, and the Eversole Research Collection can invalidate almost every one of them. |
Crawford Angel, discoverer of the world’s tallest waterfall, Angel Falls, in Venezuela. Near completion is the 1937 Exploration of Guiana, by Lee Eversole. Completed are two mini-series length screenplays which are fully copyrighted and registered with the Writers Guild of America West, and three magazine articles on various related subjects in Angel's lifetime. The Collection, founded upon 40 years of research by Paul “Ron” Eversole, and an additional 15 years of research by his son, Lee, is located in Bluewater, NM. Paul Eversole's research has been embellished by contributions from former senator and GOP presidential candidate Barry Goldwater, New Mexico Senator Pete Domenici, historian Lowell Thomas, explorer-author Henry Villard, and world renowned archaeologist G.C.K. Dunsterville. Despite death threats, incessant slander from a woman claiming to be related to Jimmie Angel, and other envious persons, the epic survives. Born in Sharon, PA, Paul is the chief researcher and consultant of the Angel Research Collection, the established world authority on James Crawford Angel and, as related to the title character, the Venezuelan Gran Sabana, Angel Falls, and the region, Guiana. His first of three explorations into the interior of Ecuador and Venezuela, 1964, ignited his interest in Jimmie Angel, and this began an inexplicable determination culminating in the most amazing researched materials archives, the ERC. Upon his first sighting of Angel Falls, the veteran photographer Eversole spent over two days capturing on film this breath- taking splendour. This adventure began four decades of research and an obsession which compelled Eversole for a lifetime much as the fall's founder, James Crawford Angel, became obsessed by memories of a River of Gold in the highlands of an enchanting tepui. No one else ever found Virginia Angel and other key players while they were still alive, and no one could ever duplicate this incredible "gold mine" of information, maps, love letters, documents, and priceless photos. |
